Love is certainly in the air at the Wingerden household. 

Even my sweet little Owen has been enjoying our Valentine's decor every day since I put it up. He has quite a romantic side…always ready to give his mama lots of hugs and kisses. Some days he can even found carrying around a tiny book called Shakespeare on Love. 

Not even kidding 🙂

Symbolic New Year’s Mantel Vignette

Just wanted to pop in on New Year's Eve and share the mantel vignette that I created today in our dining room. 

I included several symbolic elements in this design, representing the hopes for my family and myself in the year ahead.

The other day, however, I got the urge to do a mantel vignette in honor of spring (even though it has still been snowing here as of late). I knew Hazel would enjoy some fresh new decorations…

Christmas 2012

Another Christmas has come and gone…it always seems to pass too quickly for me. Here are some glimpses into our "holiday" home this year. Hazel certainly enjoyed all of the lights and decorations. Every morning we heard lots of "ooh's" and "ohhh's" as things lighted up and were new with festive touches.
