The two most time consuming jobs I have ever had are as a mother and a blogger. And both pay the least. Go figure. But somehow I still love both roles enough to keep doing them. Okay, okay…well the first one is a full on heart commitment, right? Even on the roughest of days.
The other, I could let go by the wayside if I wanted to, and yet somehow I don't. I keep trucking on as a mother and a blogger and try to strike a balance between the two. It's tough though…I'm not gonna lie.
Today, I am sharing how I manage to make it work…

Summer Days. Sun Filled Days. The Longest Days.
"Some day these will be our old days, let's make them worth remembering." -Kacy Crowley
Summer is flying by. I kind of hate that. Some days are long, though. Not only does the sun stay out longer and make the daylight hours last, some days as a mother with little ones can feel like an eternity. If you are in a similar situation, you probably now what I mean. This post is for you…Saturday, April 4, 2015
Happy Easter!
In honor of Easter, our Sundays at Home link party will be postponed until next week. I hope that you are all enjoying a beautiful weekend with your loved ones! The weather is still cool here and it might even be a white Easter đ but I hope it is sunny and warm wherever you are.
(This photo was taken a few years ago and gives me hope for spring's return).

Sticks and Stones: Dealing with the Ugly Side of Social Media as a Blogger and Person of Faith
If you are a blogger, designer, or creative type who puts yourself out there on the internet, you may have had a negative run in or two (or three, or four…) on social media. Most of us have. It is "to be expected." Normal. Happens all the time. Something to "get over." But what if you can't? What if the hurtful words cut deep? How can we manage to keep our self-worth and value in tact while subjecting ourselves to the possibility of rudeness and ridicule?
A painful Facebook experience that happened to me a couple of weeks ago, left me contemplating this blog and what I am doing here. Whether it is something I can continue for the long haul with social media the way that it is. An ugly cesspool of hurt people hurting people.

Thoughts of Fall on My Mind
I don't know about you, but fall has been on my mind for awhile. It always happens once August hits: I begin dreaming of those beautiful autumn days that are on their way.
We are approaching my favorite time of year, and I can't help but get excited. I can hold off, of course, on the winter's cold for quite awhile, but oh, how I wish I could make fall stay longer.

When Your Child is in Pain
There is almost nothing worse as a parent than watching your child endure pain. I always want to take it from them.
Let me take the pain instead, Lord. That is my prayer whenever one of my little ones is hurt or not feeling well.

Trust
“Never be afraid to trust an unknown future to a known God.”
~Corrie ten Boom
I’ve been reflecting on trust a lot as of late. Where am I putting mine? In God? Or myself? my accomplishments. my works. even my own fears.
Lately, my faith has been on the back burner. Did I stop trusting with my whole heart somewhere along the way? Striving to get back on track. To go back to the path that I know He is leading me down.
I know He is waiting for me. And I will trust in that alone.
Till next time…

Let Your Light Shine

I am loving my late night creative time. Made this while everyone in the house was asleep. Now available here in my Etsy shop!
And I am so thrilled that my New Year’s mantel vignette is featured at Coastal Charm’s Nifty Thrifty Tuesday!
Glad to have all the new visitors who have come by from over there. So happy you are here.
Till next time…

where have I been & giving thanks
Where have I been?
It seems like forever since I have posted here. Well, let me tell you…an almost 2 1/2 year old and a fourteen month old sure can keep you busy. I have been busy keeping up with our home, caring for my little ones, and learning to trust and rely on the Lord no matter what life throws my way. Some days are harder than others. I struggle. I want to do more. I want to create. I want to blog. I want to photograph. I want more "me time."
